Brassinin is a plant metabolite of great significance due to its dual role both as an effective phytoalexin and as an early biosynthetic precursor of the majority of the phytoalexins produced by plants of the family Brassicaceae (Cruciferae). A biosynthetic precursor of Brassilexin.
