Description
This lipophilic desmuramyl dipeptide analog showed antiviral activity against murine cytomegalovirus and influenza A infections in mice. The compound was stimulatory to cytotoxic T-cells, natural killer cells, macrophages and splenic B cells, but inhibitory at higher doses (200 mg/kg), indicating that it functions as an immune modulator.
